21 Days of Prayer & Fasting | Prayer Focus

An Appeal to Heaven for

Restoration and Transformation

21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

Leading up to 30th International Gathering of Apostles & Prophets

Beginning: Tuesday, September 27, 2016 – Monday, October 17, 2016.

Our theme this year for IGAP is An Appeal to Heaven for Restoration and Transformation!’

This year continues to prove to be a time for personal, corporate and national breakthrough as we answer the call to pray, receive strategy from heaven and then obey.

Isaiah 58 is one of the best chapters in the Bible on the subject of fasting. There are at least 12 specific benefits of ‘the fast that God has chosen’ listed in this passage:  Revelation, healing and wholeness, righteousness, the presence of the shekinah glory of God, answered prayers, continual guidance, contentment, refreshing, strength, work that endures (like an ever-flowing spring), raising up of future generations and restoration.  Mahesh Chavda ‘The Hidden Power of Prayer and Fasting’

Daniel needed understanding so he sought to hear from God through prayer and fasting. God sent a messenger (we don’t know his name) an angel with the answer who was detained in spiritual warfare 21 days until the angel prince Michael came to assist him (Daniel 10:13).  Then he proceeded to explain the vision to Daniel in detail of what was to come.  Through this we gain understanding that as soon as we set our hearts in earnest to seek God through prayer and fasting He hears and answers.

Let us make our appeal to heaven as we continue to agree together for Jubilee release and divine reversals for our families, the ministries of CI/VCCI (and all those related to us) as well as to see Kingdom shifts in our nation and the nations of the earth!

PLANS FOR PRAYER AND FASTING:

  • We are asking everyone to participate in 21 Days of prayer and fasting beginning Tuesday, September 27, 2016 – Monday, October 17, 2016
  • Whether it’s a complete fast of water only, or Daniel fast where you eat fruits, vegetables and drink water or something else altogether.  The type of fast you do will depend on you.  As always, the fast should be something that will ‘cost you’ to fulfill.  Either way, we leave that up to you to decide.

PRAYER FOCUS – 21 DAYS OF PRAYER AND FASTING LEADING UP TO THE

30th INTERNATIONAL GATHERING OF APOSTLES AND PROPHETS CONFERENCE

Each day be sure to prepare your own heart and present your own appeal to heaven and decrees to experience personal miracles, breakthrough and Jubilee, but please also be sure to join us in agreement for all God desires to do through CI/VCCI during this strategic time of gathering.  It’s time for divine reversals as well as restoration and reformation!

DAYS ONE – THREE – 9/27-9/29: Pray for the speakers. Cover their travel, families and finances. Pray that God will speak clearly through all those that are scheduled to minister during the conference. Speakers are: Dr. Bill Hamon, Dr. Ed Silvoso, Dr. Chuck Pierce, Ap. Luis Aquino, Dr. Tim Hamon and Ap. Tom & Jane Hamon.  Afternoon Sessions will be conducted by: Ap. Bob & Sharon Parkes, Ps. Dean & Lisa Mitchum, Pr. Bill Lackie and Karen Simmons.

  • Pray for good health and strength for all the speakers. (3 John 1:2)
  • Cover safety for as they are traveling. All flights to be on time and luggage to arrive with them on the same flight!  That they will be able to rest well in their hotels.  (Proverbs 3:23-24)
  • Pray all messages will be timely and all that God wants to impart at this time.   (Proverbs 15:23)

DAYS FOUR – SIX – 9/30-10/2: Today September 30th starts 40 days of prayer and fasting for our nation leading up to the elections. (included) Lets agree with the prayer focus.

  • Revival in the church – Pray that another Great Awakening would sweep across America as the Lord’s people humble themselves in repentance and prayer. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chron.7:14).
  • A standard of righteousness to be raised over this nation – “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people” (Prov. 14:34).
  • God to intervene in the elections – This is not a partisan or political effort but a plea to bring God into a process that desperately needs His wisdom and direction. “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go” (Is. 48:17).

DAYS SEVEN – ELEVEN – 10/3-10/7: (Pray for Staff and Volunteers) Pray for all CI staff and volunteers working the conference.  Pray that all positions needed will be sufficiently covered for the entire week.

  • Cover staff and volunteers for good health and strength as well as for their families.  (3 John 1:2)
  • Spirit of hospitality and unity to flow throughout the conference.  (1 Peter 4:8-10)
  • Pray that all will go well with our team of Spanish interpreters from El Salvador as they are coming to be a blessing to CI. (Hebrews 6:10)

DAYS TWELVE – SIXTEEN – 10/8-10/12:   Pray for Pastors Dean and Lisa Mitchum and our worship team as they prepare for the conference.

  • Pray that the ‘sound’ of awakening will be released through the worship team. And that God will awaken the spirit of every person in attendance and watching via the internet streaming.  (Ephesians 5:14-16)
  • Pray for a spirit of unity that all may be blessed! (Psalm 133:1-3)
  • Come against weariness and tiredness.  That God will renew their strength daily. (Philippians 4:13).
  • Pray for a release of healing, deliverance and miracles during worship.
  • Pray that all goes well during their afternoon session on Wednesday of the conference as Ps. Dean and Lisa teach on six ways to prepare your worship team for the next worship reformation.

DAYS SEVENTEEN – TWENTY-ONE – 10/13 – 10/17:  Pray for all our attendees.  We will have over 500+ in attendance from all over the United States and other nations.

  • Pray for final arrangements and plans to come together for those still trying to work things out to attend. Whether it’s time off from work, finances or a place to stay.  (Proverbs 16:3)
  • Pray for favor for our international delegates.  I am still receiving calls and emails weekly from some that are still seeking to obtain VISA’s from the American Embassies in their nation in order to attend the conference. (Proverbs 16:3)
  • Pray for safety as they travel to the conference and also once they arrive. (Psalms 91).

As we are praying and fasting over the next 21 days, remember to stay ALERT!  Don’t discount things, situations or people that come to mind during this time.  Keep a journal and write down anything the Lord shows you during this time.  Whether through a dream, prophetic word or sensing.   Please share what the Lord reveals to you during this time by emailing us at info@mailcimn.net   Put ’21 Days of Prayer and Fasting for 30th IGAP’ as the Subject.

Charismatic Leaders Call for 40-Day Appeal to Heaven Over Elections –

September 30 – November 8, 2016

A national coalition of leaders is calling for a second round of prayer walking the nation for 40 days leading up to the elections. This group includes Dick Eastman, president of Every Home for Christ; Dave Butts of the National Prayer Committee; Lisa Crump of the National Day of Prayer; Ed Silvoso; David Thompson of Harvest Evangelism; John Robb of the International Prayer Coalition; Dutch Sheets; Lou Engle; Mike and Cindy Jacobs; and others. The event begins Sept. 30 and goes through Election Day, Nov. 8, 2016.

The need to see the United States covered in prayer is extensive. We are clearly a nation in trouble. A battered economy, political divisiveness, the culture wars, racial uneasiness and a side lined church provide the dry tinder for an inflammatory national election in November. Many stake their hopes or fears on the outcome.

While believing in and encouraging the importance of exercising our right to vote, we also call the Christian church in America to do that which is even more critical in these days … to pray!

The seriousness of our day requires an intensity of prayer that is unprecedented. This is why the As One is calling for 40 days and nights of unrelenting intercession on behalf of our nation, including prayer walking our neighbourhood’s.

We are doing what Israel did in Joel’s day:

Yet even now, declares the Lord, return to Me with all your heart, and with fasting and weeping and with mourning. Rend your heart and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love; and He relents from punishing. Who knows? He might turn aside and relent, and He might leave behind a blessing—a grain offering and a food offering for the Lord your God.

Blow the ram’s horn in Zion, consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly. Gather the people, consecrate the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those nursing at the breast. Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber. Between the temple porch and the altar, let the priests, ministers of the Lord, weep and say, “Have pity upon Your people, and do not make your inheritance a disgrace, a mockery among the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?'” (Joel 2:12-17).

Our focus in prayer is simple. We are praying for:

  1. Revival in the church – Pray that another Great Awakening would sweep across America as the Lord’s people humble themselves in repentance and prayer. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chron.7:14).
  2. A standard of righteousness to be raised over this nation – “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people” (Prov. 14:34).
  3. God to intervene in the elections – This is not a partisan or political effort but a plea to bring God into a process that desperately needs His wisdom and direction. “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go” (Is. 48:17).

This is a call, not from one ministry or organization, but from diverse leaders from across the spectrum of the American church. The leaders of these organizations met in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in December 2015 to seek the Lord together for His strategic prayer plan for the U.S. leading up to the national elections in November.  As One recognizes that it is critical for us to come together in unity.

This is not a call to a particular event; it is a pleading for all Christians to do something proactive and powerful in prayer for the 40 days leading up to our fall elections.

Prayer walking our neighbourhoods makes this a personal activity that allows us together to impact our nation. A similar call to prayer was issued earlier this year between Easter and the National Day of Prayer and thousands of believers joined together to prayer walk their communities.

The website prayasone.nationbuilder.com has been set up with tools churches and individuals can use for their prayer walking efforts. One can find multiple prayer guides, including the official Fast Forward America 40-Day Prayer Guide, written by Dick Eastman. Individuals and groups can “Adopt their Street” and “Adopt a Cop” using an interactive map through the site. If you register, points for prayer can be emailed to you daily.

As leaders in the body of Christ, we commit ourselves to prayer during these days of decision regarding the future of our nation. Even more, we commit ourselves to mobilize prayer in our spheres of influence, that every part of the Lord’s church would join together in day and night prayer for the intervention of God on behalf of our nation.

As in Joel’s day, the call is for everyoneall the Lord’s people from the oldest to the youngest. It’s for everyone to humble themselves and pray. How will you respond? How will you pray?

Between now and then, will you help us blow the trumpet?
